Women
Since the beginning of time, woman have been worshipped, adored, cherished and admired. Women represent courage, seduction, style and beauty. From ancient Egyptian art, to Lucien Freud's nude of Kate Moss, women have been depicted throughout history by great artists all over the world and continue to be one of my favorite subject matters for these reasons.

Title: Temperance Size: 20x16" Medium: watercolor, charcoal, stabilo pencil on hardboard. This painting represents the virtue of temperance. Temperance means moderation. In paintings of the past, a woman is depicted pouring wine from a wine jug into a water jug, "to water down one's wine". The painting above is a modern version of this idea. Eating and drinking in moderation is a virtue that I sometimes struggle with.
